Anyways, my week went a little
something like this (it seems like all I do is run, but I do have a full time
8-5 job at a law firm, a fiancé, friends, family and there’s still that wedding
I’m planning that’s 8 days away):
Sunday - - - My cousin got married
Saturday night in Lenox (#henicsinlenox )and had an open bar...
…. We didn’t get home until 1
and going out for a run was literally not even on ANY list of things I wanted
to do, but I did it anyways because that's what you do when you are a #goaldigger.
Monday - - - Ran 6 miles with the Plaza
Fitness group and got absolutely soaked ( 100% chance of torrential rain & hurricane warnings...ain't no thang)
Tuesday - - - One hour strength class after work and came home to the
best surprise, our custom wedding bands arrived and they are beautiful!
Wednesday - - - Woke up early to get
in 3 miles before work.
This day needed another sentence or
2 because after work I met up with my run group for some hill repeats.
Here was the workout:
-2 mile w/up
-8 x short (100 meter) hill repeats
w/ slow recovery back down
- 1 mile recovery run to next hill
-8 x short (100 meter) hill repeats
w/ slow recovery back down
-recovery run to track
-2 x 8 minutes @ steady state pace
w/ 2 min recovery between each
-1 mile c/d
---------------------------
12 total miles for me that day! #crushedit
Thursday - - - 5:30 came realllly
really quick and I headed to my 6am strength class.
I am buying this today to wear after every speed workout or hill repeat day. |
And because Tyler and I have barely seen each other the past 3 weeks, we met up after work for a drink and to relax
for .5 seconds. We both have had crazy schedules lately.
Friday - - - Woke up pretty tired
and pretty sore, but got out the door for 5 recovery miles and it was just what
I needed.
I also forgot to stop my watch for
about a minute because of this:
I am SO EXCITED BECAUSE WE’RE GOING
TO SEE JURASSIC WORLD IN 9 HOURS!!!!
And will probably be dragging
tomorrow morning when I meet up with Allison, Molly and Bill for
our long run. Sorry guys!
Do you have any plans for a long run or race?
What was your favorite part of the week?
Any fun plans this weekend? I have a gabillion last minute wedding things to do and celebrating my girl K Fox's birthday Saturday night!
Have a freaking awesome weekend
everyone!!!
Happy running!!
